BTS At 7

The 2020 commemoration of BTS's 2013 debut is extra meaningful as the seven members of the South Korean boy band mark their seventh year. Group leader and rapper RM thanked their ever-loyal ARMY fandom for being by their side during the journey. “You are the ones who have genuinely turned these songs into ‘music,’” he tells Apple Music. “I am truly thankful for the great love we have received.” The K-pop supergroup was presented with this playlist ranking the top streaming and purchased BTS songs on Apple Music and iTunes since their 2013 debut. RM expressed wonderment that the 2018 track “I’m Fine” made the cut, telling Apple Music, “I just did not expect it.” Seeing their first international hit, “IDOL,” from 2018, represented gives Jin pause for reflection: “I remember when I first listened to the song and thought, ‘This is it.’” Both J-Hope and Jimin were sentimental about their debut song, “No More Dream,” getting replays after seven years. “I’m really happy to see that it receives so much love to this day,” Jimin says. Meanwhile, SUGA “appreciates the love” that 2018’s “Trivia 轉 : Seesaw” gets, but V feels “Mikrokosmos” from 2019’s MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA should be higher than No. 34. “It holds a higher spot in my heart,” he says. And what about Jung Kook? “'Euphoria,' because I love how ARMY reacts and it reminds me of how it felt like to perform at our concerts.” V hinted that this list may be incomplete: “We have quite a lot of songs, don’t we?” he mused. “Be prepared, for the best is yet to come.” Jimin also teased, “I promise you that it gets even better.” Flick on your light sticks (aka “ARMY Bombs"), stream their biggest hits, and look back at Bangtan Boys’ seven-year evolution.
