Touch the water
This is the second book in Magi series, and we learn more about Cassandra and and her relationship with her family. Tragedy has struck and Cassandra is home dealing with the aftermath. Something is not right but is being kept hidden from her. Enter the mysterious Jonathan, and go made an appearance in the first book, and nothing is normal for Cassandra.
The writing continues to be excellent, the story keeps you wanting more, and the next book in the series can’t get here quick enough!

Intriguing...
Cassandra’s story continues in as the details surrounding Gran’s mysterious death begin to unfold. When she travels back to her home town to handle the arrangements regarding her grandmother’s estate, the reader gets a glimpse of Cassandra’s childhood and some pivotal moments that shaped the relationships with her parents. We’re also introduced to her best friend Reina and finally the enigmatic stranger from book one, Jonathan Lynch, whose intentions are still somewhat unclear. In The Secret Sorceror, Cassandra comes to terms with a devastating loss and the choice of whether to continue her grandmother’s legacy or forge her own path.
This is one of those novels you hate to see end. The characters are so interesting and multifaceted that you just want to know more about them. The slow reveal is a sweet torture but also speaks to the brilliance of the author’s writing style. Plus, the tension between Cassandra and Jonathan is killlllling me! Hurry up book 3!!
