East end meets high society.
Emma is firmly an East end girl, a seamstress who was burned by the ton (her birth was on the wrong side of the blanket). She’s to attend her BF’s ball. Grudgingly. Add in a dance instructor.
Christopher is Landon’s younger brother, Bronwyn’s brother in law and needs to wed to receive the mark of the PORF. He only wants to marry for love and from the first glimpse of Emma, he’s intrigued and smitten.
I was waiting for this book (as it was set up in Landon and Bronwyn’s story). And it did not disappoint. I particularly liked the class divide and the role reversal of Christopher wanting to marry for love and Emma not wanting to do anything with matrimony. I liked how rough around the edges Emma was.
