    I’m Taking A Break

    Well fam, I have two pretty big announcements I wanted to share with you today... The first is that Michelle and I have spent the past week recovering from Covid, but as the over-achiever I am, just getting Covid wasn’t enough. I had to go all-in, so I went ahead and got the regular flu at the same time.  I came down with a really severe fever for two days that went as high as 103.8 which was the regular flu, and then Covid kicked in which was marked by a constant low grade fever, and difficulty breathing.  Michelle lost her sense of taste and smell, but I retained mine.  Thankfully we have the support of some incredible doctors who took amazing care of us.  We took all of the supplements you can imagine, and they also put us on prescriptions for Ivermectin and Hydroxy Chlorochine.  The worst part was a three day period where it was getting increasingly difficult to breath. If you think you have Covid, you want to jump on Amazon or have someone run down to the local drug store to get you a blood oxygen meter and a nebulizer.  If your 02 level gets down to 93 or less, it’s time to head to the hospital which is what we did next. My primary concern was that I was coming down with pneumonia, so we had a CT scan.  Thankfully it was just Covid, so we started nebulizing glutathione, ionic silver, and a steroid to help open the lungs which is what did the trick.  Overall, we spent about 9 days laying in bed, but thankfully we’re about 95% recovered at this point. Michelle’s smell and taste came back, and I’m breathing normally once again.  So what is the big takeaway from this experience? If you take care of your body, it will take care of you.  If your body had a voice, and if you could have a conversation with it, what would it say to you? Would it say thank you, or would it beg you to stop filling it with poisons like alcohol, sugar, or processed foods? Grab a piece of paper, and write down this question… What does my body desperately want me to know?  And simply write out everything that comes up.  What you learn here has the power to completely change your life if you’re willing to listen.  Now that brings us to my second piece of news… After 7 years, and over 350 episodes I am going to take a break from this podcast as of today.  The show will be back, but I don't know when.  All I know is that over the past year, my passion for this show had turned into an obligation. I was producing it every week because I felt like I had to.  If you’ve been a listener for a while, you know that I’ve been going through a massive transition in my life over the past few years, and who I am today, is completely different than who I was when I started this show under the Self Made Man title in 2014.  Traditionally, this has been a show about entrepreneurship, marketing, and business, and after the past few years I’ve had, I can tell you that the absolute last thing I give a crap about right now is marketing and business.  The world is changing before our very eyes in ways that will forever change the course of humanity, and turning a blind eye to these topics in order to talk about business, online marketing, or funnels because that’s what this show has always been about, literally makes me want to puke, and I just can’t do it any more.  So I’m going to take some time off to think about what I want to stand for, how I want to lead, and what the purpose of this show will become moving forward.  I can tell you one thing for sure… When it does come back, it will be bigger and better than ever. We’re in the process of looking for a video studio here in Austin, and my goal is to have the deepest, most meaningful conversations possible, with the world’s most inspiring people.  So thank you for listening, and for your support.     How To Be A Captivating Story Teller, with David Nihill...

    In a time where attention is the most valuable resource in the world of business, learning how to capture and hold someone’s attention becomes a priceless skill.  Thankfully, we know without a shadow of a doubt after 10,000 years of history, that telling captivating, interesting, or entertaining stories is the key to winning over the human mind and heart.  Yesterday, I sent out an email to my readers about my new course, Richer Every Day.  Richer Every Day is a system, and a training program that teaches people how to turn the money you make today, into passive investment income that pays you forever.  If you want to learn how to make $100,000 per month in passive income, Richer Every Day will show you exactly how we’re doing that.  Now most emails you get about a product or service just jump straight into their pitch, and sure, there’s a time and a place for that, especially when you’re nearing a deadline, but there’s a much more effective way to sell, and that’s by using a story.  So I started yesterday’s email with a story about the life of a man named Ronald, and that email ended up producing a record number of new sales.  In fact, I’ll just go ahead and read that email for you here now, so you can keep it as an example…  ============= “Every morning, Ronald Read would stop by the local hospital in his small town to have breakfast in the cafeteria...  He sat down in the same stool at the counter, said hello to the staff, and politely ordered the usual... A cup of coffee, and an English muffin with peanut butter.  He was a soft-spoken, simple man...  He grew up in poverty. He graduated from high school and then served in the military during WWIIl, fighting in Africa, Italy, and the Pacific.   Upon his return, he took a job at a gas station where he worked for 25 years, and then eventually became a janitor at the local JC Penney, where he worked part time for the next 17 years.  Now if you were to wonder about Ron's level of financial success in life, you'd probably conclude that he simply made enough to make ends meet.  After all, how could someone making a modest wage as a janitor amass any kind of meaningful wealth?  Well the truth might surprise you... When Ronald died in 2014 at the age of 93, his family was shocked to discover that he had amassed a fortune of more than $8 million.  Think about that for a minute...  95% of the online "experts" who are making millions in sales per year as entrepreneurs, don't have $8 million dollars of free and clear cash in their bank account, and they never will.  Not because they can't... But because they won't.  Why? Three reasons... The first is that they're completely unaware of the invisible neural-chemical associations which have hi-jacked their brains, and linked pleasure, satisfaction, and status, with spending money, or taking risks.  Second, is because they're running subconscious programs that will prevent them from accumulating and saving the money they do make over the long term.  One of the most common hidden programs entrepreneurs have is, "I'm not good enough" and in order to prove to the world they are good enough, they'll go out and buy the usual luxury status symbols like that shiny new Rolex or Lambo.  Again, and again, and again, preventing them from ever accumulating anywhere near the amount of wealth they would otherwise...  Which leads into the third problem... They have spent so much time focused on how to make money, they've never taken the time to make a plan for the money they do make.  And when you don't have a plan for your money, it will leave you for someone else who does.  Ronald Read had a plan.     So there’s a very good chance that you’ve heard my mold story over the past few years, and how it completely turned my life upside down for more than two years.  But what you probably don’t know, is just how big of a problem toxic mold is becoming… It’s estimated that 50% of all homes are currently infected with mold and that 25% of the global food supply contains the poisonous mycotoxins molds produce.  Some of the foods that contain the highest levels of toxic mold are nuts and coffee beans.  If you drink coffee, or eat any kind of protein bars or foods that contain nuts, you’re ingesting mycotoxins.  Most people’s bodies can clear these toxins out successfully as long as their exposure level doesn’t exceed their body’s capacity which is what happened in my case.  If your exposure levels get too high, it will overcome your body’s detox system and that’s when things will quickly take a turn for the worse.  To make matter worse, 1 in 4 American’s are missing the gene that allows their body to eliminate mycotoxins naturally which can lead to all kinds of symptoms including chronic inflammation, arthritis, asthma, skin rashes, chronic coughing, adrenal fatigue, brain fog, memory loss, low libido, chronic fatigue, depression, and other neurological problems.  In fact, toxic mold is now considered far more dangerous than asbestos or lead-based paints, but you don’t see toxic mold legal cases popping up left and right, because they’ve made them nearly impossible to prosecute. Why? For two reasons… 1: Mold is naturally occurring part of Earth’s biosphere, rather than a man-made substance, and second… Because it would literally destroy the US real estate and insurance markets overnight.     If you’ve ever wanted to build an extremely large business… One that could potentially do billions in revenue… There’s a pretty simple, proven way to do that, especially here in the US… So what’s the secret? You find an industry that already does billions in sales, and you start a business that offers a healthier version of those products.  Unfortunately, most people will look at an established industry and think the opportunity is gone, and that it would be nearly impossible to compete against the 500 pound gorillas in the space…  But that’s simply not the case… Look at Whole Foods as an example… They started up in the broring established grocery store business, and became one of the world’s biggest success stories by doing one thing… Stocking the shelves with healthy products instead of processed garbage.  Tesla is now the most valuable car company in the world because they took an unhealthy, dirty product, and created a healthier version.  We’ve previously had the Founder of Method on the show a few years ago. Method makes healthy, chemical-free detergents and soaps, and were able to carve out a massive piece of market share from the traditional incumbents.  Another guest was the Founder of Butcher Box… The meat industry is massive, with billions per year in revenue… Butcher Box has been growing like crazy because they decided to offer the highest quality, cleanest, and healthiest animal protein in the country.  Are you starting to see the pattern here? People will seek out, and pay a premium for access to clean and healthy products.
