Having just finished my second episode, the podcast is incredibly informative while keeping my attention. My most recent podcast I have subscribed to, I look forward to learning different aspects of history I never thought of, or gaining a new perespective on my existing knowledge.
Long Overdue and Well Done

This should be added to every high school American History class to serve as the missing chapters on America's history during American slavery and the Jim Crow years. It is more than just African American history. This is America's real history, often pushed aside and relegated to a few short, nondescript sentences in books and a few sanitized documentaries during the month of February. Open and frank discussion is good. Let's hear all sides and present a fuller view of America's past. It may be intensive to hear but we need the tension, especially "Creative Tension". Thank you.
Much Needed Historical Resource

The Creative Tension podcast is taking an engaging look at history, using relevant information from the time period. I LOVE IT!! The Jim Crow Era is rarely taught about in secondary or higher ed. Normally we talk about slavery and then move to Civil Rights, which was almost 100 years later. I love what I've heard so far and I'm recommending it to everyone I know. Keep up the good work.
An incredible guide through the past

Creative Tension offers an engaging walk through the Jim Crow past to dissect the dialogue happening today. The first two episodes offer incredible context into the new narrative and justification for the Confederacy and its monuments. While the voices and explanations can be chilling, I now have an even greater understanding of the nuanced and subtle bigotry that still exists. My daughters will benefit from this and I encourage others to share with their children, too. If this is just the beginning, I can wait for what topics Rev Elliott will tackle next.
Jim Crow Monuments

The first episode in this podcast is a great explanation of the role of official, legal commemoration in reconstructing and maintaining white supremacy after the civil war.
Gone but not forgotten learning about African American History
08/24/2017
This podcast needs to be a mandatory lesson to those who question the way African Americans have been treated in this country throughout history. Rev. Robinson brings a much-needed message of truth and understanding to how we can learn from our past in order to improve our future. I most highly recommend this podcast and look forward to tuning in again and again in order to continue to Create Tention.
