Pepper Rodgers, a sports medicine physician, mistakes her high school nemesis, Luke Haas, as the lawyer her friend Tricia set her up with.
The day after the hookup, Pepper discovers the truth. She is sent to get a teams medical records to complete their sponsorship agreement. To say the least, Pepper's angry at
Ken for being played.
Now Luke has to regain her trust for the teams sake.
Earning it
Pretty good mistakenly identity story. Pepper & Luke were school mates and he was the guy that likes the girl but doesn't know how to tell her so he was not a favorite friend of hers then. They are both and are supposed to be wiser but he is still playing games. He can't resist the pull that he still has for her and thankfully has at least learned how to communicate a little better with age, lol. They have some webs to get through as they work to figure out what to do next. He's determined this time around though so Pepper won't slip out of life so easily this time around. Author also introduces a "new-to-me" sport which adds interest to the romance plot.
