A MOST INDECENT PROPOSAL

Annabelle Green needs a husband-and quickly. To inherit the only home she's ever known, she must be married by her twenty-fifth birthday. But finding a suitor has been next to impossible after a reckless rogue named Quinton Carlisle seduced her into a scandalous midnight tryst. Her reputation in ruins, Belle now needs a rather large favor. And she knows just who to turn to . . .

Quinn can hardly believe that the shy bookish girl he teased as a child has grown into such a brazen beauty. The very idea of marrying Belle to right the wrongs of his past is downright shocking . . . and deliciously tempting. Too bad marriage, convenient or otherwise, is the last thing Quinn wants. He'll help Belle find a husband and be on his way. But if he can't control his attraction to the bride-to-be, this marriage could go up in flames-of wicked desire.

Another Great Read!

Another great read from Anna Harrington.

As Annabelle approaches the deadline to gaining her inheritance, she calls to task the man that ruined her in the eyes on the Ton years before; Quinton Carlisle.

Annabelle will lose the only home she has ever know if she doesn't find a husband quick. Quinton is in desperate need of funds for his venture to America. Having a wife he likes isn't in his plans. Watching the two come together against their own odds is, as always, a delight.

Mr. Harrington delivers a great plot, well developed characters as well as a bit of mystery. I find her writing style easy to follow, her humor well placed, and those sexy scenes smoking.

The only drawback I have is that I wish I saw more of the Carlisle brothers antics like what was shared in "Once a Scoundrel." I understand that they are older, and have matured. But, that scene where the brother were shooting off their guns was hilarious. It is what made me want to read their stories. I am having a hard time seeing these 3 brothers as the same men from the previous book.

All in all, It was still a fantastic read. And certainly one I could recommend. It is also a book I will want to read over and over again. It's a keeper.

I was given an advance reader's copy of the book from the author at no charge. My decision to review this book and my thoughts on the book are wholly my own.

No Choice in Love

Six years ago, Quinton Carlisle kissed Annabelle Green in a garden, fought for her honor, and ruined her. The he went on his merry way. Now she needs his help. Belle is to inherit Glenarvon from her guardian, Lord Ainsley, on her twenty-fifth birthday. In order to inherit, though, she must be married. Lady Ainsley, Quinton’s aunt, calls him and his brother Robert to come to Glenarvon to help find a good husband for Belle. When Belle and Quinn are reunited, sparks fly. The two of them run all around the feelings they won’t admit they have for each other. Quinn wants to prove he can succeed on his own. Belle wants to own and run Glenarvon by herself. In the middle of all this, it appears there is villainy afoot on the estate. There are two questions to be answered. Is there a way to reconcile what they both need? Who is attempting to sabotage the estate?

When the Scoundrel Sins has strong characters that you get to know and an engaging story that holds your interest from start to finish. There is a lot going on, more than one point of interest, so to speak. Anna Harrington pulls it all together quite nicely. There is romance, humor, mystery, and a few twists and surprises. The dry, sometimes snarky dialogue between Belle and Quinn was wonderful. A good read, not to be missed.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley. I voluntarily reviewed it and the comments are my own.

Don't bother with this book

Really disappointed in this book. The H and h were just too much, this book gave me a headache. The whole book was a will they won't they. The female leads emotions and character were more up and down than a six flags roller coaster park! She was as weak as a wet noodle and let the male lead walk all over her. The author never really explained why she liked him, just made vague references to their past and a handful of acts he did in two weeks. He just seemed to like her bc she did whatever he wanted and gave in so easily. The book just dragged on, it could have been half the length. There truly was no point to this story, no real villain despite the author throwing in some last page danger to make the H tell the h his "feelings."
