Mary Calmes composed a narrative that is unusually bewildering, an amusement park roller coaster ride experience of her strikingly handsome protagonist - Hagen Wylie. Read, just hang on to the tail of your reading experience. Mary Calmes' Hagen spins a depth of emotion spiraling from an early teenage unrequited love affair which he never may resolve, affecting every relationship Hagen encounters.
Horror Story
A sometimes like-able PTSD stricken narrator succumbs to a possessive, emotionally abusive, manipulative, self-centered and near-sociopath ex-boyfriend. Some scenes are painfully cringe-worthy. The “HEA” leads the narrator to a future full of hurt the author ignores. All THREE characters should be running from one another faster than Wiley-E-Coyote or The Flash.
