Extreme Noise Terror

About Extreme Noise Terror

One of the earliest and most influential grindcore metal bands, Extreme Noise Terror, otherwise known as ENT, began as a hardcore punk band in the 1980s. When their sound proved too intense even for punk, they made the leap to metal. Utilizing two lead singers, Dean Jones and Phil Vane, the British band forged an archetypal grindcore sound with lightning-fast tempos, politically oriented lyrics, and ultra-concise song structures. Startlingly long-lived in such a demanding genre, the band debuted in 1986 and continued well into the 2000s.
