Studios may suck the vibrancy out of some bands, but not so with Grupo Maximo Grado. The gleaming production of Mi Vida Ha Sido Un Volado only makes their unstoppable momentum more exhilarating. Corridos like “Soy Atilano” and “El Mudo" match the rush of Grado's live shows, building whiplash rhythms from rat-a-tat drums and rowdy accordions. But while they’re undeniably devoted to making you dance, Grupo Maximo Grado deserve just as much acclaim for their poignant storytelling.
