Exciting contrast to planning podcasts!

I listen to a lot of planning, urban design, and placemaking podcasts. While those are great, it’s sometimes discouraging because I can’t imagine a lot of municipalities having the resources and/or desire to implement the ideas there. GGD is a great counterpart!!! It shows what local governments can do with yes, some money (although maybe just reallocation) and definitely some risk, but mostly vision and courage. It has consistently good production quality, topics, and guests. The hosts are great—real and personal but not that weird inside-jokes with lots of dead air that some podcasters have. Love it!!

Super informative and much more interesting than most things coming from a government

First off, people that have rated this low because it's not for residents of Gilbert should have read the description before listening. This is for governments looking to make the transition from the old school ways to being all digital and modern. You can tell that the people involved with this are tech-savvy and are trying (and it sounds like they're succeeding) to bring their communities into the future, even if they have to do it kicking and screaming. Gilbert seems to have their act together in the digital age and they're sharing their experiences with everyone so that other governments can do the same. Great podcast. Highly recommended for those in government or for any organizations trying to join the iPhone age.
