Simon's Cat - Crunch Time 9+

I have to admit I don’t understand the reviewers who are saying you should refuse to play this game because you have to spend money. I’ve played every level available, including the heists, tournaments and quests (all of which provide multiple opportunities for winning boosters and coins), and I haven’t had to spend a penny. I guess you just have to be patient...like anything else, it takes practice to get better at it. But I’ve enjoyed this game for some time now without having to make any purchases. And I adore the little world Simon’s Cat and his friends inhabit...it makes me ridiculously happy. There are usually a couple of animation bugs in new releases, but they don’t hinder enjoyment of the game. Wish I could convince some of my Facebook friends to play!

Nice game, but it really does cost as it depends on what you get, both my mum and I have this game and I get some levels which are impossible and she can finish and then she’ll get an impossible one that I can finish - it all depends on what colour treats you get on screen, it often doesn’t matter how many times you leave the level and go back in - the bad randomness of colours remains the same.

Then the tournament which we now realise must be a real fix as the person at number one has a score of over 330,000 REALLY!!!!! How does one achieve that score, the most I’ve EVER been able to get is 200,000 or so and that’s playing over and over and over again in infinite lives!! So I think I will avoid this part of the game for a while until it’s a bit more realistic in the scores!

Apart from that it is a lovely game visually and it is easier than the usual “match 3” games where I can never progress. I only have this game and another that I actually spend a small amount of real money on as I don’t have much spare change.

Great game with enough variety of levels and characters to keep me interested. The cat animations are so cute (funny Simon's Cat, grumpy Jazz etc.), the colours are bright and the music is really catchy. There are the right amount of ads for a free game - not so many that you end up deleting the app because they are annoying! - and you can even play on airplane mode (which actually gets rid of them, although that wouldn't be very fair on the advertisers!).

It's the only match-3 game that I have kept on my iPad for more than a couple of months, and the only one that I have bothered to write a review about! Also good is the fact it isn't massive on storage. Thank you Simon's Cat Team!
