About Phil Seymour
Drummer/singer/songwriter Phil Seymour is best known in the annals of power pop for being Dwight Twilley's musical partner in the 1970s. Not only is the significance of his role in the Dwight Twilley Band frequently underestimated, his own subsequent solo career is often given criminally short shrift. Seymour released two solo albums after the Twilley band fell apart, scoring a hit single in '81 with “Precious to Me.” He worked with the Textones in the mid-'80s before being diagnosed with the lymphoma that would claim his life in 1993. ~ Jim Allen
