Description

Keep your John Deere riding lawn mower running its best and know how you mow with the John Deere MowerPlus app. Simply scan your lawn tractor’s barcode to get custom information on your equipment. The app helps you determine the best time to mow, communicates expert pre-mow tips, offers maintenance reminders, and provides walk-through guides. Ready to mow? Select “Mow Now”, slide your phone into your pocket, and MowerPlus records your mowing path, total mowing time, as well as speed and coverage data for your mowing session.

New for 2019 - Get machine information automatically using the new MowerPlus Smart Connector and MowerPlus Hour Meter (see your local dealer for availability and compatibility).

Note: The app supports residential lawn equipment such as 100 Series, S240, X300, X500, X700, Z200 through Z600, and many similarly-sized older products. It does not presently support tractor models numbered 1000 and larger, such as 1025R. The app uses most recent product images. Some variation may exist from prior model years.

Decent app, could use more features

I like this app to keep track of mowing information. I think this app could be better if they included other options instead of just mowing. For instance, I think you should be able to choose an option for why you’re running your tractor. Such as lawn maintenance (spreading seed/fertilizer , thatching, raking/sweeping, aeration, brush removal, or any other fun chores). Another option for winter would be nice (snow blowing/plowing). I find myself doing all these with my tractor but have no way of distinguishing what was done at what times. It would be nice to be able to keep track of when I seeded last or fertilized. I know I’m not mowing in the winter and am doing snow blowing, but that’s the only option I have to keep track of tractor hours.

Other than the slight inconvenience of not being able to distinguish between tasks, the app is pretty great. It saved me one day as I thought I turned the key all the way off, but just left it turned enough that it was still “on”. That could’ve drained my battery if I didn’t get the notification as I was attempting to close the app without turning the key all the way off.

Loved it until it died - IOS15

I got my tractor this spring and have used this app religiously. Everything was fine until I decided to upgrade my old iPhone XR to an iPhone 13. They just pushed the iOS 15 to my phone and boom! The app crashes every time I try to mow now. I had enjoyed sending pictures of my mows to my friends, and even joked that I got a mowing achievement badge when I had mowed 25 acres. The machine hours function was very helpful as well as the maintenance tips. Unfortunately, without being able to track the mow, this app will be almost useless until updated to be compatible with the latest iOS.

Not worth the money

I purchased the added feature on my brand new E130 to be able to communicate with this app. The reality is the machine only tells the app the current run-time hours, and that’s it! The rest of the features of this app are simply fluff - basically useless.

My machine needed grease lubrication at 8 hours. So, at 7 hours the machine started flashing “service” and “lubricate”. Great, right? Well the lubrication is finished and there is no way for the app to tell the machine! So, the machine continues to flash “service” and “lubricate”. Point is, there is no intelligence between the machine and the app. Therefore, the $100 bucks, or so, that I spent for the added hardware on the machine serves no real function. Don’t waste your money.

Lastly, through the app, you are able to contact the app creators. Well I wrote to them about this condition. Twice. No response.
