About Ricochet
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I don’t remember a time when music was absent from my life. My parents weren’t musical, but they were huge country fans, and we ALWAYS had the radio on. On my ninth birthday, I took my first guitar lesson. From then on, it's been my obsession! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Glen Campbell, Rhinestone Cowboy - The Best of Glen Campbell Jessi Colter, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Wanted! The Outlaws Restless Heart, Restless Heart I wore out 'Wanted! The Outlaws' cassette! Restless Heart changed how country music looked at "the artist," and Glen’s final studio album 'Adiós' is PERFECTION! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Sweet Tea” I wrote this tune with Brett Jones, and it’s very different than anything that Ricochet has ever recorded. From the swampy guitar lick to the stripped-down acoustic treatment, it’s one of the coolest recordings on the project. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I've had many incredible moments—from performing in the Opry "circle" to USO tours. A huge Restless Heart fan since 1985, I became friends with them and even filled in for Larry Stewart and Greg Jennings on tour. They call me RH's "spare tire"! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I know it’s a long shot, but I would love to be invited to join the Grand Ole Opry as a member someday. It’s always been a dream to be part of the Opry family!
