So nice I reviewed it twice!

33cl bottle served in a Westvleteren Trappist glass at Café de Vrede across the street from the abbey. Brown with ample tan head. Aroma is toasted malt and candy. Flavor is roasted malt, biscuit, candy, alcohol. Long finish of biscuit, spice, alcohol. What a fantastic beer! It truly lives up to its reputation as the world’s best beer.

12fl oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Opaque with a small brown cap. Aroma is raisins and alcohol. Flavor is strong roasted malt, dark fruits, alcohol burn. This beer is thick enough to chew. Long lasting, deeply bitter finish. Leaves your mouth sticky. This is a slow drinker. Excellent dessert beer that would be perfect on a cold winter night.
