    Regulations are Protections. Deregulation is all the rage these days. Regulations are blamed for everything from economic inequality to the financial crisis. On this episode, we explore what it would be like if we accomplished the libertarian acid rain filled wet dream of a deregulated White Man’s paradise. We look at the hard-fought battle for labor laws and the events that finally led to the few workers rights we enjoy today, including the tragic story of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory. We discuss many of the regulations the Trump Administration has slaughtered, and with that in mind revisit the stakes of the 2020 Election (with a few choice words for CNN). Finally, a quick look at the Death penalty and why it sucks rocks. #resist

    This is your Resistance podcast!  If you live in a red state we make you jealous by demonstrating what is possible when voters elect a blue majority.  We list some of the laws that that will go into effect in the new year in California.  We have good news for the LGBTQ community and laugh at sad christofascist cake makers.  We talk about the Trump Administration's (asshole) reversal of regulations spelling bad news for birds, the environment, the elderly and the sick.   E pluribus Unum is replaced should we say by “Make America Gaudy Again.”  We discuss Donald’s taste in, or lack of taste in presidential coins.  We discuss the UN’s report on poverty in the “Greatest Country in the World”, the USA, and the report is not good.     On this Resistance podcast we hate on Republicans in power.  We question those who voted for said Republicans and celebrate recent wins for the Resistance.  Charles P. Pierce of Esquire has some rules of engagement for those of us who are good American citizens. Our Republican government is trying to silence dissent in our reportedly free country.  The Resistance isn’t having any of it!  We have great news for democracy, for activism and for our country regarding those arrested at the Disrupt J20 protest last year! Do Republican voters hate unions and workers’ rights?  The Republican-controlled National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) overturned an Obama-era decision that protected workers and unions.  We have a bit of good news for for the children on CHIP, the Children's Health Insurance Program, and bad news for Dreamers as Democrats didn’t keep their promise and funded the government without providing them relief.  We send our condolences to the women and poor people of Arkansas.  Listen and find out why Planned Parenthood is challenging Arkansas in the Supreme Court.  Trump thinks the tax bill repealed Obamacare.  Should we tell him someone lied to him?  We go over the ins and outs of where Obamacare stands after the Republicans had their nasty way with it.  If you care about the environment then you have to hear our report on Costa Rica!     This is your Resistance podcast.  On this episode we marvel at what strange times we are in, as a pro-choice, pro-gun control Democrat got elected to the Senate in deep burgundy Alabama.  We have the Black vote to thank for kicking the shopping mall cowboy, Roy Moore, to the curb but it was not without its challenges.  We go over the variety of “old Alabama” voter suppression tactics in play during Tuesday’s election.  We discuss the outrageous wealth gap in the United States, its causes and how the GOP Tax Scam will only serve to exacerbate the already dramatic problem.  We hate on FCC Chairman Ajit Pai for stripping us of a free and open internet.  We discuss who will be hit hardest by the end of Net Neutrality and lay out the worst case scenarios we all need to be prepared for.  The fight is not over, however.  We tell you what comes next.  Finally, there is some very good news from the World Bank you are going to want to hear!  All this and more on this episode of KVoice of Resistance. #resist

In this episode, the Right stole the Supreme Court which is now trying to strip minorities of long standing rights, and all anyone can talk about is the damn tweets! When the LGBTQ community is under attack, what do we do? Stand up fight back! Hair Fuhrer Trump is going to eat himself into a early grave, allegedly. California is on fire and the cruel Republican tax bill aims at kicking those who lost their homes while they are down, spitting on them, then rolling them over and drawing crude pictures on their foreheads. Al Franken, Roy Moore, Trent Franks and Blake Farenthold are not all the same and don’t belong in this sentence together. We have a bone to pick with the media. We find out who Kirstjen Nielsen, our shiny new Secretary of Homeland Security, is. We talk DACA, CHIP, and the government shutdown. The Resistance is fighting for Net Neutrality (remember, that vote is on the 14th so call your senator today!) Republicans love guns more than states’ rights. Finally, a list of things that we talk about that are happy: North American Climate Summit, Chicago Climate Charter, kitties, Paris Climate Agreement and Obama. One year in and holding strong the Resistance is only growing. #Resist

    On this episode of your Resistance podcast, we congratulate the Republican party for officially asserting itself as the party of the KKK, men’s rights and pedophiles with its endorsement of Roy Moore. We discuss this week in Congress including the next step for the GOP tax scam, the fight over DACA and CHIP to fund the government and the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act (a boring name for what amounts to porn for ammosexual NRA nuts). The US dropped out of The UN global migration negotiations. Trump, in the largest land grab in history, took back the majority of Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante public lands handing them to the mercy of Big Oil and more. The Republicans, whose motto is “screw the children”, both figuratively and literally it seems, have reversed yet another EPA rule. The conservative Supreme Court is totally cool with the vitamin-C president’s travel ban. Finally, we talk about about the GOP tax bill, what is next and how the Resistance is already fighting back. “There comes a time when silence is betrayal.”--Martin Luther King. #resist
