Sam & Faith
Sam Braden is attracted to Cole's medical assistant Faith Hayes. However, he is warned to stay away from her due to the fact he is a player. Faith Hayes has trust issues with men after being cheated on by a previous boyfriend. As Sam begins to show Faith that his past is not who he really his, she realizes there is a side to Sam that not many get to see. When Faith finally lets her guard down and gives Sam an honest chance, the sparks fly. Will Sam's past be too much for Faith to accept or can she put her trust in him to get their HEA?
Opposites Attract
I was surprised at how easy the playboy was tamed and he hadn't even had a date with Faith yet. He was so determined to honor his brother's wishes of not toying with her that he took his time and got to know her first. It was the first time he was committed and the first time he respected the woman and himself.
Faith is the opposite of what I thought Sam would go for. She's not outgoing or outwardly affectionate; she's more of a homebody and private person. The other opposite thing I noticed was that Faith did not talk about her family much or have much involvement with them and Sam is sucha family guy. I mean family is everything to him with his parents and siblings, but also his cousins. They say opposites attract and in this case it was a definite.
As always, BJ Harrison portrays the strength, but gentleness, of the Braden men and their love for family and significant others

Faith and Sam.... an unlikely combination. Faith has been burned by a former boyfriend and Sam is known as the town "player". His reputation is well earned but underneath all that "alpha-ness" is a tender heart that has also been bruised and battered.
Faith works for Sam's brother, Cole, and Sam has been warned that she is "hands off". Everyone thinks she is too sweet and innocent for a man like Sam. But Sam is determined to win her over in spite of hers and his friend's and family's objections. He has set his sights on Faith and is willing to become everything she needs him to be in order to show his love for her. Faith struggles to believe that Sam can change and she bounces back and forth in her mind as to whether he truly cares for her or is he just leading her on.
I love Melissa's books and I really enjoyed seeing Sam and Faith's relationship grow and blossom. It was not an easy road for either of them but in the end, it was worth the effort.
The narrator, BJ Harrison, does a great job and has a voice that is very easy to listen to. I would recommend either the print or the audio version without hesitation.
