No amount of training could’ve prepared him for her.
Former Army Ranger Stone Mitchum doesn’t have time for relationships, let alone a one-night stand. He’s too busy running a ranch that helps transition veterans back into society. But when his curvy new tenant falls into his arms, his libido snaps to attention.
Jovy Larson has four weeks to prove she’s worthy of taking over the family business. She’s up for whatever ridiculous task they throw at her, but selling vegan food to a bunch of cowboys in cattle country, Texas? Not half as tough as fighting her attraction to her sexy, surly landlord.
Good thing she’s stubborn. Then again, so is he…

Amazing story
I laughed, I loved the story! The cow made it!
In an Army Ranger’s Arms
What a wonderful story. The plot was well written and flowed nicely. I love Lula Belle (the cow that loves Stone Mitchum.) Stone along with his brother and two brother-in-arms rangers, purchase Stone's grandfather's ranch. They run At-Ease Ranch as a place where returning veterans can come work and live. They also run Fox-Trot Construction for the returning vets to learn a new job skill as well. Stone feels especially committed to have all of the veterans' back and lead them into a new and successful career even though there are 3 other partners. Yes, Stone is a born alpha leader. Jovy Larson comes to Joyful, Texas to open a vegan restaurant (in the middle of cowboy eating steak country!) Her cousin Ross is sent to Hawaii to sell snow mobiles. The contest between these two young people is to see who can most successfully run a company in face of diversity. The person who has the better bottom line at the end of the month will get the CEO position of Larson Industries in Philadelphia. Their grandfather devised this contest as both are highly competent people with the skills to run the company.
Stone and his brother own the space where Jovy opens her restaurant. When Stone and Jovy meet, well lets just say to get ready for the laughter. This story was fun to read. Yes, there are some very sad, poignant moments in regards to a specific ranger and the trials that our returning military personnel go through. That is why I so enjoyed this story and the At-Ease Ranch for veterans and Fox-trot Construction. What a wonderful concept.
Stone is a definite alpha ranger male. Jovy is also a strong-minded female. The sparks between them is instant and constant throughout. I loved with scenes between Lula Belle and Jovy though. They were especially funny to read. Ms. Michaels did a fantastic job in bringing the characters and the story to life. I felt like I was right there in the middle of the scenes.
I adored the dual POV format especially Stone's. There are some strong scenes with him and getting his POV was most helpful. to understand the character I never served in the military especially during the war so to see what he was thinking and feeling was a must for me.
This book is not erotica by any means but there are several scenes that are not appropriate for someone under the age of 18. I do recommend this book for some over 18.
I love Lula Belle!!!
This fantastic read is book one in The Men of At Ease Ranch series and it features Army Ranger Stone Mitchum and business owner Jovy Larson. This is a sweet, steamy romance and on this ranch they give veterans a place to belong and heal. Jovy and Stone are great together but there are some very strong obstacles in their way.
All the characters in this series are fantastic! Lula Belle just might be my favorite. I can't wait to read the next book.
