Believe in Miracles

This is such a wonderful story of loss and forgiveness. Juliette and Gabriel are going to a cabin for Christmas. It's been a year since the tragic death of their 6 year old son, Jeremiah. Juliette has terrible feelings of loss and doesn't want to celebrate Christmas ever again and this is causing problems in their marriage to the point that they may divorce. A snowstorm traps them at the cabin and they find a little boy, Patrick and his dog, Puppy. Juliette tries to steel herself against feelings for Patrick and Puppy. You'll have to listen to find out how they help heal Juliette and Gabriel. This is a wonderful Christmas story that can be listened to at any time of the year since it has a timeless lesson. Rachelle Ayala has a real gift for telling these stories and Kate Marcin has done a great job narrating. I received a free copy and am giving this review in exchange.

Incredible Promise Not Without Scars

If you could sum up Christmas Stray in three words, what would they be?
never give up

Who was your favorite character and why?
Patrick was my favorite character. He was sweetly innocent and found the only opening into a heart deeply scarred and fearful of more hurt. He helped to heal a broken family and bring happiness in the most natural and tender way. Never asking for more then he needed, he gave of his rich love and unfathomable faith installing the same in the sorrow filled and confused family that found him and took him in.

Have you listened to any of Kate Marcin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This performance truly broke my heart in every way possible while learning that hope and determination isn't that hard to find when you really want to find them. Her tender yet steady voice was a balm to a rough and painful story. What an unforgettable presentation!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I was able to listen to this book in one setting, and it was so hard and yet so soothing to immerse myself in. It has taught me a few pieces of truth that I hope I always remember no matter what I have to face in my life. The characters were absolutely perfect, and the storyline was a great mix of honesty and hopefulness.

Any additional comments?
This is a breath of fresh air even within the midst of its heavy subject material. Life needs a balance between happiness and sorrow in order for us to truly savor and cherish the gifts that we are given.
