But with the cut-and-paste instincts of a born crate-digger, the Chilean producer is ultimately more interested in creating dizzying and decade-spanning fusions than going full-on retro. So, instead, he spikes old-school techno with cutting-edge tropical beats ("El Rey Del"), chops up deep house until it bumps like moody reggaeton ("Por Você"), and even brings twitchy Latin funk to UK garage ("Idk").
