As Hungary's premier power trio, Tankcsapda deliver grimy hard rock stuffed with punk energy and metal crunch. Singer/bassist László Lukács anchors the band with Lemmy-like frog croaks that ooze bad attitude. While their early tracks, including the riotous “A Legjobb Méreg”, boast a buzzing, streamlined attack, their music has gradually grown thicker and heavier. “A Rock & Roll Rugója”, from the 1995 breakout Az Ember Tervez, is chugging gutter boogie replete with blaring sax, and 2006's modern-tinged “Rock A Nevem” is fuelled by grunge-approved fuzz and caveman drums.
