Publisher Description

As proud as she was of getting this far on her own, a little help right now would be very appreciated.

Blind since birth, Corrie Madison relies on her other sharpened senses in her job as a chiropractor. Never did she imagine she’d have to depend on them to identify a killer. But when a man enters her practice, murdering everyone in his path, Corrie is the only witness—putting her directly in the killer’s crosshairs.

Officer Quint Axton wasn’t looking for love, or even a relationship, until he meets Corrie. Beautiful and brave, resilient and intelligent, she’s everything Quint wants—if he can keep her alive long enough to explore their mutual attraction. The threats on Corrie’s life are escalating. Surely a blind person is helpless against a ruthless killer?

Hardly. Corrie is about to prove that disabled does not equal defenseless.

**Justice for Corrie is the 3rd book in the Badge of Honor: Texas Heroes Series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.

Romantic Suspense at it's best!!!

I received an ARC in return for an honest review.

Susan Stoker has done it again! This book was gripping, sweet, sassy, and touched on real-life topics of interest. Justice For Corrie is the third book in the series, but can be read as a stand alone. There are characters in this book that were in the previous books, so you may want to read them first, but it's not necessary.

The story starts off with Corrie "witnessing" the murders of her co-workers. Little do the bad guys know, she's blind. Of course, they find out later she's blind, but don't know that at first. Corrie was born blind, but her parents raised her to function very well in society. She has a job, friends, family, and her own apartment.

Lieutenant Quint Axton meets Corrie in a diner as she stumbles into a busboy. One thing leads to another and he finds himself drawn to Corrie, wanting to "protect" her. In his mind, he knows she is able to do for herself, but thinks she's "fragile". Corrie proves him wrong!

This story touches on unconventional relationships, loan sharks, and living as a blind person. I absolutely LOVED that Quint learned Braille for Corrie. He made sure he made adjustments in his life so she'd feel safe and comfortable. Through this story, I "felt" as though I could identify with Corrie. She was unsure of how Quint would see her when she took her eyes out, but was brave. I loved his inner geekiness that wanted to know every detail of how she lived her life. He truly tried to put himself in her shoes several times, trying to "be" blind. He realized how brave and strong she truly was.

This is a must read in my opinion! Wonderful, suspenseful, romantic, educational, and sassy all at the same time.....

Strong heroines

Justice for Corrie is just as good as the first book I ready from this author! She never runs out of ideas and ways to put her heroines into fixes! It's also great to see all the different kinds of strength her heroines hold when faced with their own situations! Each one has been able to deal with their situation in their own way! With Corrie's blindness, it didn't make her a victim, it made her more dangerous to the criminals! Her weakness of no sight just made her more of a liability because she was underestimated by everyone. Quint's love for Corrie was plain to tell and the way he tried to adapt himself into her world just made me love him more! The love scenes were pretty great with things from her perspective as well! The small cameo's from other characters keeps all the books loosely tied and I can't wait to see who gets up to what next! Awesome Job!!!

Justice for Corrie - Brilliant

I started reading Susan Stoker's books a little over a year ago and I am hooked. This book like all the others was absolutely brilliant! The attention to detail, obvious connection to her characters brings them to life like nothing I have ever seen (or read). The situations that Susan Stoker imagines to implant her characters in is amazing as she matches the situation with the characters strength. The car and love she shares with use through the hero and heroine is second to none. To have Corrie use her strength and love for Quint when she is blind in her situation was priceless! Do you love hero/heroine stories that deal with law enforcement/military then Susan Stokers books are for you! You will not be disappointed! Until Laine's story, job well done Susan, job well done!!
