Escape to Burton, Georgia, a quaint farm town near Savannah, where love stories thrive.
Elizabeth
This holiday season, my one goal is to ignore it entirely. With my complicated family, non-existent love life, and demanding job, skipping Christmas seems like the perfect plan. That is until Trent Wagner sets up a Christmas tree lot outside my office. Instant sparks fly between us, despite my resistance. But beneath the Christmas tree this year, something unexpected and wonderful may take shape.
Trent
I took this job to escape my small Georgia hometown. Hauling Christmas trees from my uncle's farm in Michigan to sell in Florida was my way of finding clarity. I never planned on the intense attraction between Elizabeth and me. She tries to ignore it, but the chemistry is undeniable. This holiday season, something magical might unfold beneath the Christmas tree we share.

Loved this story
Elizabeth and Trent were magnificent. My only gripe was that I wanted to read more!! Tawdra does a wonderful job bringing these characters to life. Elizabeth and Trent have a adorable meet-cute which is perfectly written. I really enjoyed the Thanksgiving scene immensely. I love Joe, who is an amusing character that has a brief appearance. Maybe we will see more of him later on in future books. Without spoiling this book for anyone I will just say that this is an adorably written story.
Underneath the Christmas Tree
A very enjoyable, fun read. The characters were engaging and well rounded, the story flowed well and kept my attention from beginning to end.
But then… I read chapter six. I was warned not to read the epilogue. Unfortunately, I didn’t know chapter six was the epilogue. My advice to anyone that reads this book, DON’T READ CHAPTER SIX.
I do recommend this book, as I said at the beginning, It’s an enjoyable read. If the author had ended the book at chapter five, I would have given the book five stars. My guess is that chapter six is a teaser to make you want to read. That didn’t work for me. The ending mad me a bit sad, and a bit angry. The end of chapter five was a perfect ending. It would have left me with a smile on my face and in my heart.
