Review: Joker's Wrath MC 5: Bestie
Bestie by Bella Jewel is the fifth book in her Joker's Wrath MC series. This book absolutely can be read as a standalone but it will provide spoilers about who becomes a couple from the previous books if you read them out of order.
This book was an emotional hard-hitter. Knowing that the storyline was a very personal one to the author made me approach it with much more tender respect than I would if it was just a regular creation from an author's mind. I felt I wanted to be respectful of the painful journey that formed this story. That being said - it was a fabulous story. The very beginning, the emotions that Molly is feeling post breakup is devastating and so very painfully accurate. From there it showcases Molly's strength in moving on from her own breakup and her failures when it comes to Roman's. It shows that time does heal all wounds. Sometimes not completely and sometimes more slowly than others, but time (and distance) can definitely ease the pain of heartache.
Roman was a great character too. I wanted to bop him on the head a few times with his blind acceptance of his ex's behavior. Nevertheless, he was a great character and the best of friends to Molly. never steering her wrong or leading her on and accepting the limitations when she had to distance herself.
An emotional read that had very little in the way of major drama and action but was just as filled with excitement and emotion. Sometimes a story doesn't have to be huge to be epic! Enjoy!
