About Joe Perry
Best known as the lead guitarist and co-founder of Aerosmith, Joe Perry's iconic riffs and distinctive, blues-based sound have been a driving force in American hard rock for over five decades. One of the most enduring and successful bands of the '70s, '80s, and '90s, Aerosmith, with their raunchy swagger and adaptability, straddled the nexus of classic rock, pop, and heavy metal and, in the process, sold more than 150 million albums, took home multiple Grammy Awards, and earned themselves a well-deserved spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In addition to his work with his flagship group, Perry has flourished as a solo artist, releasing wide-ranging efforts like 2009's Have Guitar Will Travel and 2023's Sweetzerland Manifesto MKII. He is also the frontman for the Joe Perry Project and a member of the supergroup Hollywood Vampires alongside Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp.
