Mills& Hadley
I love the Baker’s Creek series and I was excited to read more about Mills. Mills is a professional hockey player and single father to a little boy named Arden. Hadley returns home to Baker’s Creek after being away for ten years. She and Mills meet and she soon becomes the Aldridge’s nanny and Mills girlfriend. I liked Hadley and Mills, but their relationship started weird for me. Other than saying it was “insta” I don’t know how to explain it. It just didn’t make sense to me. As We Are was lower on the angst than the previous books, but it was still held my attention. I did a lot of laughing. The Aldridge household is very funny. This was a good book and I can’t wait to get all of my unanswered questions answered in the next book.
Absolute Delight
This is the fifth book in the Baker Billionaire Series. Finally we get Mills Aldridge story. Mill is a hockey player and a single father. He is on leave after a knee injury and spending time at Baker Creek. The story checks all the boxes for a well written story. It’s captivating, emotional and heartfelt. I loved the connection between Mills and Hadley . I think my favorite Aldridge has to be Arden. He was an absolutely adorable 3 year old and his relationship with Hadley was heartwarmingly beautiful. Another fantastic addition to this series. Definitely a must read!
Soooo good
This family is one of my absolute favorites. This author has become a favorite over the past two years. I’m still working my way through all of CB’s catalog but the little clues to other series and other families always makes me motivated to get those others read.
Mills and Hadley might be in my top spot for the best couple of this series (so far). I can’t think of a single thing I didn’t 100% love about this book. From Hadley’s epic revenge, to Mills’ romantic gestures, to the absolute cutest kid ever this story is everything.
Of course I cried more times than I care to admit but I also got a great balance of laughter. I both can’t wait for the next book (so I can finally learn William’s secret and Vance gets that HEA) but I’m also dreading it a little too. I’m going to miss Baker’s Creek and I’m not quite sure I’m ready to give up the Aldridge’s.
