Netsounds Natter with... Man of The Minch

Netsounds Natter with... Man of The Minch

We start a new series of podcasts where we focus on musicians and the stories behind their songs.  For this latest podcast we welcome singer-songwriter Man Of The Minch (aka Pedro Cameron).

Over the past few years, Man Of The Minch has become one of the most exciting names at the forefront of Scottish folk music. Blending traditional Celtic sounds with personal, profound storytelling, he has already picked up his fair share of fans and followers. Winner of the Up and Coming Artist of the Year at the 2019 Scots Trad Awards, he is breathing new life into traditional music whilst staying true to what makes that music so timeless.

He is also a well-known collaborator and has performed with the likes of Finn Anderson, Broken Chanter and Rachel Sermanni. He is also the founder of Bogha-frois: LGBT+ Voices in Folk.

Episode 4: Netsounds Podcast: Archive Sessions

Episode 4: Netsounds Podcast: Archive Sessions

As we come to the end of a grim year and look forward to a more positive one, it's an opportunity to take stock and revisit some ace sessions we were fortunate enough to capture in recent years.

For this "Archive Session" podcast we go back as far as 2011 with Fatherson at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival and some of our more recent session from the summer of 2019.

Although nearly all these sessions are available on our YouTube page, it's the first time some have been featured on our podcast and in the case of The Sea Atlas the first time the session has been published.

    Featuring:

    Miracle Glass Company
    Ferris & Sylvester
    The Burning Hell
    Siobhan Wilson
    Keir Gibson
    Zoe Graham
    Woodenbox
    Fatherson
    PAWS

    The Natter... with Calum Martin

    The Natter... with Calum Martin

The Natter... is a new series of podcasts that has grown out of our "isolation interviews" that we ran during the coronavirus lockdown.

It's a "talky" podcast that focusses on individuals in the music scene.

Our first "Natter with..." features one of the unsung heroes of the Scottish music scene, Calum Martin.  An audio technician who runs his own production company that has brought sound and light to venues and festivals across the Highlands of Scotland and beyond.
