Tormentum is a dark point & click game. The dreamlike, nightmarish atmosphere of the game was inspired by the works of painters H.R. Giger and Zdzisław Beksiński.
TORMENTUM is a dark Point & Click adventure game.
A nameless hero finds himself in a place between fantasy and nightmare. He doesn't remember his name nor where he comes from. Wandering through strange lands, he struggles to discover the truth about the world around him, as well as about himself.
The dreamlike, nightmarish atmosphere of the game was inspired by the works of painters H.R. Giger and Zdzisław Beksiński. The game's final look and feel was also strongly influenced by the universes of games such as Demon's Souls or Dark Seed. This unique mixture gave life to a bleak and depressing world.
The story begins as the protagonist wakes up locked in a metal cage hanging below a large flying machine. It becomes clear he is its passenger against his will and the machine's destination is unknown. The only vague memory he can summon in his mind is that of a sculpture atop a hill, depicting human hands reaching towards the sky.
Those are, however, the least of his problems as the airship descends its flight towards a huge, gloomy castle which soon becomes his prison. Thus begins the surreal story bordering somewhere between dream and reality...

Endless hours of mindless fun
I don't understand the negative review of this game. It was fun, exciting and kept me entertained for hours on end. Just when I thought it was going to end, I was sent on another adventure. Enjoyable because I didn't have to do a whole lot of backtracking, and once you solved a task, if you clicked on it again, it told you it had already been done. If you don't like gory graphics, this game with make you squirm, but hey, a squirm every now and then is a good thing. Although I do have to say, without giving spoilers, the end had me shaking my head with my mouth hanging open. In my opinion this game is WELL worth the money in every aspect. It's long, it can be difficult at times as there are no real definitive hints, but you can work your way through them if you pay attention to your notebook. Thank you for such a fun game. I want a sequel so I can redeem myself!
Loved this game
This is a point and click game that lends itself very well to the MAC. The graphics are really beautiful and the story is captivating. I actually played it twice, the first time without help and the second time with help to ensure that I got the good ending. It is a rather short game, but well worth the $20 I paid for it.
I want another one!
Finally, a puzzle game that offers something different. The graphics were awesome and the difficulty level was just right. After finishing this one, I searched for another. I saw that there was a Tormentum II, but it was not offered in my MAC apps???
