Frenemies become wedding planners

Squeeee! This series just gets better and better. This is definitely my favourite so far. A fabulous, sparkly four and a half stars.
Heather Fowler is an assistant wedding planner at Wedding Belles. She has moved into a new apartment, adhering to the mantra of living the life(style) you want rather than the one you have and trying to escape her less than stellar trailer-park origins. The only problem? Her annoying man-child next-door neighbour Josh Tanner.
Now, Josh has a secret. If you have read the blurb for this book, or even the dedication on the front page, you will know what it is. But it isn't actually mentioned in the book for a LONG time - so I'm not sure if I should mention it or not. Best not. Anyhoo, Josh was a hedge fund manager on Wall Street wearing the suits and living the expense account life. Now, he practices with his band and goes to the gym and basically lives like a frat boy with a different girl practically every night.
Heather and Josh don't get off to a good start when she has to bang on his door to get him to turn the music down on a Friday night because she has a wedding to prepare for early the next morning. Soon they become frenemies of a sort, there's a lot of eye-rolling and baiting of each other. He calls her 4C (her apartment number) and she calls him 4A. But when Heather finds out that Josh dated her latest client, a woman who apparently wants no involvement in planning her own wedding, she inveigles Josh into helping her plan the wedding of the year.
I loved everything about this. Banana Bread. The enemy next door. Josh cooking. Band practice. The anti-Bridezilla. Josh's mom. Not so much Heather's mom. I really think Lauren Layne has hit the sweet point with this book.
I knocked half a point off because I thought the end was too contrived - I've read something very similar recently and didn't like that either. But that is a small niggle in a book which I adored. More, more, more please. Pretty please?
But I really want Alex's book next.
