Couldn’t be more excited to discover this niche podcast. As a designer looking to get into posters for film there few centralized resources dedicated to the art of the poster. Yes it is long but I kinda love the length and tangents because drawing takes forever and this is the perfect pair to art. Thank you guys for putting this together !

Love this podcast as Sam and Brandon are very intelligent and discuss poster design in an informative way. Their topics are always interesting and they make everything approachable!

I think of myself as more interested in movies than design, but this show makes me question that. These guys know design and designers. They put a lot of time into the research and also finding the reference images (visit their website!). Any filmmaker who has control over marketing should listen to at least a few episodes to appreciate the art of poster design. And for designers of all stripes, this is a must listen. This is two top designers giving a peek behind the curtain. Highly recommended!

If you are head-over-heels for design then you must check out this awesome podcast (& Tumblr images)! Brandon and Sam impart so much detail and information about designers, illustrators & artwork that it's quickly become my favorite commute soundtrack. Flat file feature is a yummy dish too! There are plenty of diatribes about the minutiae of music and it's so validating to know there are people who care enough to share this level of discourse about design. Thank you!

Graphic design student here, and I love listening to the poster boys in my car and while working on projects. I know of very few of the designers they actually discuss so I learn a lot from them, which is awesome! Brandon and Sam have very good dialogue about design opinions and are also quite humorous at times. I've enjoyed the interviews they have had with other designers as well. It's inspiring listening to the history of various graphic pieces and finding out random facts of the process that make the piece even more awesome. Can't wait to hear more!

Brandon and Sam do a wonderful job of diving into subjects and providing insightful information and thoughtful opinion. It feels like geeking out with your design / poster buds. Very refreshing and inspiring. Great to listen to while working. Nice work Poster Boys!

Brandon Schaefer and Sam Smith make a fine team —at times, the yin to the other’s yang. Their obvious affection for their subject matter is infectious listening. They share the kind of conversational design talk that one has, or had, in school, the studio or at the end of the day in a bar or cafe somewhere. They know their stuff, impart some invaluable practical observations about the trade and are into some really cool stuff!
