Alex Aiono

Singer, songwriter, producer, and social media personality Alex Aiono has built a massive following with both his reworkings of popular songs and his original pop and R&B tunes. • Born in Phoenix, Aiono moved to Los Angeles as a teenager to pursue music. In 2013, he released the EP Young & Foolish. He cowrote the title track with John Legend, one of his main influences. • In 2016, he began posting “flipped” versions of hit songs on social media. His mashup of Drake’s “One Dance” and Nicky Jam’s “Hasta el Amanecer” has racked up 72 million views as of 2021. • Aiono signed with Interscope in 2017. That same year, he covered Michael Jackson’s “Man in the Mirror” for the soundtrack of The Lego Batman Movie and collaborated with T-Pain on “One at a Time.” • In 2018, he joined Hight in guesting on Felix Jaehn’s dance-pop smash “Hot2Touch,” which has surpassed 200 million streams across platforms. • He released his debut album, The Gospel at 23, in 2020 and starred in the film Finding Ohana the following year.
