Publisher Description
Kiki Michaelson wants one wild night to forget her starving-artist worries. Simple.
Only instead of Darren Cole becoming her one-night stand, he taunts her with a challenge. Then while she’s trying to best him at his own game, he turns out to be the last thing she’s prepared for: someone she wants to keep.
Which means all he can ever be…is a friend.
Darren Cole never allows a girl to get close—not close enough to matter.
Then storms in Kiki Michaelson, a beautiful, fearless temptation that rocks his world off-balance. But he fights their attraction, unwilling to gamble something physical with their close ties. Until the passionate sculptor exposes her heart and breaks his wide open.
In that moment it becomes clear: she could never be just a friend.
Sometimes what you run from…is exactly what you need.
***HEARTBREAKER is a standalone, full-length new adult romance told in dual POV. Due to mature themes and adult language, this book is for those 18 and older.***

See AllHeartburn
Kiki and Darren work together. Her family owns a party planning company that has taken off and gotten bigger. Darren is a DJ who has so much going on in his life he has no room for love.
Kiki decides one night that having a one night stand with him to get him out of her system is a good idea. He does not agree. He does not want to risk his job with her family.
Darren has dreams he wants to achieve. He plans to move on and make more money. He has other priorities that Kiki does not know about. He keeps his private life private.
When they choose to go running together and become friends, the lines start to blur. Can someone who makes your heart pound really be just a friend? Can they learn that love has room for other things to grow into it? Darren and Kiki must learn to make choices that put others first.
I found this story to be so compelling that I nearly cried when I had to put it down. The characters are so moving and real. I loved the banter. These authors never let me down.

Heartbreaker
Excellent characters and story line. But if a tear jerker and and a giggle too.
Female lead character is ridiculous
Why do most books have a female lead character that is so dramatic that it’s painful reading the book? Kiki is all about how she won’t ever let any guy into her heart again because of her horrific past. I though it was going to be a traumatic thing that happened. But no...it was she gave her virginity to a guy in high school after prom who never called her again. Give me a break. Her whining the whole book about something so small that happened over a decade ago was so ridiculous. Not all woman are wannabe soap opera actors with their dramatics all the time. Why can’t someone write a book with a strong female lead? I wished I never spent the time reading this crap
