I’m a marketer and a fan of podcasts and audio learning. At work, I’m bombarded by vendors trying to engage me through webinars. I love learning so when I sign up for a webinar topic I hope to learn from, I find many of them are just fluff and the message is clearly not customer-centric so I get a bit jaded, I must confess. Marketing Mastery Video is a pleasure to listen to. I heard Todd do a talk at a conference and he was 200% engaging so I figured his podcasts were too. And guess what? His podcasts are just as engaging because he's a great interviewer--sincere, genuine, real, and good at creating an organic, dynamic conversation with his interviewee. So if you don't have much time but still want to carve out some of your valuable time to learn about marketing, Marketing Mastery Video with Todd Hartley is it. Highly recommend.

As a filmmaker, making films is easier to do because of the technology(still hard, but easier), but how do you stand out? I discovered this podcast last week and holy cow I wish I found about it sooner. Just listening to Todd’s knowledge, it has given me many creative ideas on how to strategize and market my personal films and videos. Todd keep doing on what your doing, you need to write a book.

On substance this podcast is great. I have one beef with Todd and with, for example, the author of Video Marketing strategy -Jon Mowat: they often put down production people who just aren't fully evolved yet but are in the process of learning. What I find insteresting is that the people listening to these podcasts and reading said books actually do care about evolving from the traditional media mindset - it's why they listen and read. And while a work history of digital and inbound marketing is no doubt superior (and clients pay a pretty premium for that experience), credibly adding it to our skillset is not impossible. Like the proverbial 'kid with a camera' (who he submits is more digital ready than the production company) that Todd alludes to in episode 171, I see online social use of video daily and add it to my base of knowledge from my traditional experience. Right now I have a database of traditional clients who have YET to transition to digital marketing and I'm building my knowledge base so I can become their legitimate source for video marketing. I won't be able to charge someone with a track record of amazing ROI, but I'll be way better than kid with the camera. And I, other listeners and book buyers are not alone. I just don't think busy retail store owners are the ones listening and reading - production people are.

Todd and his guests are high energy and the sessions are packed with helpful and practical advice!

Todd holds nothing back and is incredibly informative, helpful, and open to help both clients and agencies alike. I have learned more about marketing listening to this podcast than in any classroom setting. THANK YOU TODD.

I have been trying to figure out how a business can justify the high cost of Video Production. All the other Video Production Marketers that I've looked into, either don't think about ROI or they don't want to talk about it. I am glad that Todd is the opposite and he dedicates himself to being results driven. This Podcast has been very educational for me and I can't believe the amount of value that is being delivered.

One of the things that will strike you about Todd, is how personable he is. The material is fascinating and informative but can get technical at times, yet he always keeps it moving, keeps it intriguing. Been listening for over a year and the information he provides has become a blueprint for evolving my own business. Bravo.
