Not for the faint-hearted
I’m a big fan of Pepper Winters and have most of her titles. I love the redemption arcs found throughout her novels as well as the way she is able write and develop complex characters.
If you are looking for small-town, Hallmark-movie stories, these are not for you. But if you are looking for gritty, dark, morally questionable stories, then Pepper is your girl.
I’m not gonna lie - I had to put down this series and walk away/take a break several times. But when I did finally make it to the end, I was weeping right along with these characters for what they endured, what they lost, and the future they would enjoy.
Pepper, you never disappoint. Keep it up.
Good but long
The storyline was good. Love the romance/love part of the book. I enjoyed the everything that was revealed toward the end and the different point of views.
But the book was long. I felt like it was drawn out and it was a lot of violence.
Love this author
I really loved and enjoyed reading the Pennies series by Pepper. So I was excited to start indebted. Books start off fantastic. However, by the fifth book I was over reading this. I did finishing the series, had a great ending so I’m glad I stuck with it. Definitely could’ve been wrapped up in the fifth book though. It just seemed to drag on.
