Publisher Description
A few hours ago, Sherry Carne would have sworn that vampires didn’t exist. That’s before rogue immortals rampage through her store, leaving bloody chaos (literally) in their wake. The kicker comes when Sherry learns that one of the vamps on the bad guys’ trail may be her life mate. Her head says it’s impossible. The rest of her takes one look at Basileios Argeneau and has much more interesting ideas.
Whatever Basil expected in a life mate, funny, outspoken Sherry isn’t it. But mind-blowing chemistry and instinct don’t lie. They tell him something else, too—that Sherry’s connection to the immortal world goes deeper than she knows. And that she’s in the kind of danger only Basil can save her from—if she’ll just trust him, now and forever . . .
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
With her trademark attention to detail, Sands immerses readers in the love lives of the Immortals (don't call them vampires) who walk among humans in her 21st Argeneau novel (after Vampire Most Wanted). Sherry Carne is a driven businesswoman who delights in owning her own kitchenware store. She loves everything about it except the taxes until a group of rogue Immortals called "no-fangers" rampage through her sanctuary. The Immortal Basileios Argeneau, brother to family leader Lucian, tracks the miscreants to Sherry's store; cue instant off-the-charts sexual chemistry. While exploring his growing relationship with Sherry and keeping her safe from an old Argeneau family enemy, Basil must solve the mystery of the unknown Immortal in Sherry's life. Humor and delightful character interactions between both familiar and new faces more than balance a slightly formulaic plot, resulting in a rich, satisfying read for both series veterans and newcomers.

Wonderful as always!
Lynsay Sands is a top notch author whose books are always fun to read. Some are better than others, of course, but I like all of her works. I always look forward to reading her latest novels to find out what raunchy or funny twist the plots will take. And the characters all feel like individuals, not like cardboard cutouts carried over from one book or series to the next. With the amount of books Ms. Sands has written, that says a lot about her writing.
Now off to read the next book in the Argeneau vampire series.

Great story in this saga… however if you’re familiar with the books, I’m sure you were confused by the references to Elvie’s best friend and business partner, “Hayzel”? In previous book, Elvie, the accidental vampire, her partner is Mabel. Mabel finds her life mate in DJ, and is turned. Who the heck is hayzel?! There were a few sentences that were also poorly written… I had to reread them a few times to make figure out why they didn’t make sense. Usually it was one word out of place. Basil and Sherry have a great story.
Love it BUT ..
I looove this series I've already red them all and just reread them but this particular book bothers the poo outta me .... it's MABEL ! Not HAZEL 😭😡 it bothers me so much 😭
