Love the stories
Hate the use of a thesaurus without understanding the connotations of the words. Also the round-about sentence construction when a simple sentence would do. Please, please, please find a good editor or let me help you with these books! These could be best-sellers if they were easier to read. Read the Chicagoland series and note that the author doesn't attempt to dazzle us with her use of big words! Also, stop using "elicited" and "insidious" , they are way overused. Drew forth, pulled from me, etc etc. But it depends on context--not all words mean the same things in different contexts, even if the thesaurus says they do. I live in East Tennessee and I would love to help you polish these true gems!
