Wild at Heart

The youngest of the Harts has her chance in the spotlight, but Bailey would much prefer being with her band in Los Angeles, pursuing her own dreams. She’s put them off long enough, happily helping out at the ranch, even as she never quite felt like she was ‘enough’. Now it is simply a matter of telling everyone she’s ready to go, and following through.

I have always liked Bailey’s rocker edge, she’s sweet and kind, will do everything in her power to help her family, but she wants the opportunity to learn from her own mistakes with no safety net. She’s always drawn people to her, and Chase is no exception. Bailey’s overprotective cousin Justin’s best friend, Chase is back in town from working in the Oakland Police Department. While Bailey’s always had a crush – she never shared it, nor did she think that Chase felt the same way

Back in town after a long absence, Chase just wants the chance to show Bailey that they could be more than friends. Interactions and dialogue that highlights their long acquaintance, the sparks fly off these two even as they take their own sweet time to turn them to flame.

Emotionally layered, the characters need to deal with old issues, resentments and anger that will both heal them and help them to discover what is really important. Communication and the healing that open and honest sharing can bring is highlighted here as our couple comes to see their own strengths, and how to reach for their dreams.

The third I’ve read in this series, Bailey’s story is one of learning to love yourself, to be ready for the opportunity to really love someone else. Each story has focused on healing, emotional and physical, and Wild at Heart is no different.
