It might be Monday... but everyone is still talking about Taylor Swift's new double album The Tortured Poets Department. But is it time for Taylor to stop being petty to those who've crossed her? We can't agree.

Plus, a debate about pepper spray and whether or not laws should be changed to better arm women against male violence. It’s complicated.

And, Victoria Beckham is a big birthday girlie. She's just celebrated the big five zero, but the way she’s celebrating delivers a universal truth about women and milestone birthdays and we have thoughts.

    The End Bits:

Read: Kim Kardashian is seemingly slammed in Taylor Swift's new album. Their fight escalated well before this.
Read: A Melbourne mum took her baby to Arj Barker's show when he asked her to leave.

It’s been a rollercoaster week for Australian women with an outcry about our safety after the Westfield Bondi Junction tragedy was paired with the relief after the long-awaited verdict, the Bruce Lehrmann defamation case. We unpack.

Plus, is it hot in here? Why so many women are deep in romantasy novels involving faeries (yep... that's how the books are spelling it) and some very sexy scenes. Claire Murphy shares a sultry taste of what you're missing out on.

And, Em Ratajkowski is empowering women to change the narrative of divorce, by turning their engagement rings into a new piece of jewellery. So who does the jewellery "belongs to" and what other women have done post divorce?

    The End Bits:

Read: 35 women on what they did with their rings after their divorce.

Great listen but

I love this pod and listen to every ep, but when either Holly, Mia or Jesse are away I feel as though the podcast should just be done with the two regular hosts instead of putting someone else into the mix as it doesn’t flow as well and is not as enjoyable to listen to.

Hypocrites

They give airtime in multiple episodes to the horrible and gut wrenching Bondi tragedy (and somehow manage to make it all about themselves at the same time) but wilfully turn a blind eye to Israel committing genocide in Palestine, because it clearly suits the big boss and her biased agenda. Both these events deserve your airtime, and factual coverage.

Disappointed with the new Friday show

I mostly listen to mamamia to hear the day’s top news stories as I think the hosts do a wonderful job at recapping major events.

HOWEVER, I am disappointed to hear that Friday’s episode is no longer news content driven & instead an “exciting new deep dive” aka. just another prerecorded gap filler like Tuesday & Thursday. I understand it might not be practical to record an episode & upload on a Friday afternoon at the end of a work week, but now only 2 out of the 5 episode days are actually worth listening to IMO. Would love to see the original format return
