Publisher Description

I trust you …

These are the three words that Melissa Ashford wishes she could say to someone; to the one person she can fully give herself to and not worry about being betrayed. Being twenty-eight years old and divorced from a cheating ex-husband, Melissa enjoys her freedom … until one night when she finds herself indulging in a one night stand that changes everything.

There’s something about the alluring Brett Walker that has Melissa feeling things she’s never had with any other man. These feelings not only scare her, but push her past her limits as well. Just when she begins to open her soul to this new love, their bond is put to the test by jealousies from the past trying to break them apart.

It’s not only Melissa’s trust that’s put on the line, but Brett’s as well. Will their love be strong enough to get them through the lies? Will Melissa finally be able to say those three words she’s been dying to say? I trust you …

Annmric8 ,

It was a fun, quick, and entertaining read.

It's a nice story to get lost in. Great to fantasize about men and women connecting on all levels.
Well the author did a good job of making Brett to be the best guy any girl would swoon over. Brett was good looking. He could cook. He wanted to spend time with Melissa. Brett took her to visit family. Brett listened to everything Melissa said. He wanted to introduce her as his girlfriend. I felt Brett was too good too be true.
I guess the saying is true if a woman plays hard to get then it's makes you appear as a challenge. Men like to be confident winners and they get what they want when they want it.
While I do enjoy the numerous amounts of shagging these two do and Melissa's boldness for taking charge the sex became too much. The author focused too much on there physical connection and not enough on the emotional connection.

I guess you never really know a person. Melissa's ex-husband is a piece of work. His lies and threats are horrible. I'm sure Melissa is regretting having been married to a man like him. No wonder she has trust issues. Daniel has a quite a character change.
It surprises me that with all Melissa's issues with trust that she does not come forth with the truth about Daniel. Melissa has issues with trust yet she does not trust what the consequences will be by disclosing who Daniel is to Brett. That's not right. Melissa expects Brett to be truthful and yet she is hiding the truth about Daniel to him.
The story took a turn in a direction I was not expecting, but it was all good. The story was good but not great. It was still entertaining and written well. It just was not memorable.
